Batch No. 1 started with a simple but stubborn feeling Luke and I shared in the growroom: we can do better. Every week we grow extra trays of microgreens to make sure our subscribers and retailers get exactly what they need—but when some trays don’t sell, it feels wrong to let all that goodness go to waste. The question was how to blend the two in a way that felt balanced, beautiful, and genuinely enjoyable. We wrestled with ratios—should we go bold with the powder or subtle for flavor? Then family and our marketing team weighed in. Their favorite recipe ended up being my favorite, and Luke conceded because — happy spouse, happy house!
